Suzuki’s shared its strategic plan for a two-wheeler in India, with its powertrain ratio for ICE and BEV(Battery electric vehicles), in which Suzuki will manufacture 75% of internal combustion vehicles(ICE) and only 25% of electric vehicles.
Today, Suzuki announced its strategic plan for electric two-wheeler which include 8 E2W, 4 for electric scooters, and 4 for electric motorcycles.
Suzuki also has been testing its first electric scooter “Burgman” street in India, it will be launched in the quarter first of the financial year 2024, it also expects that “Burgman” come with a swapping battery mechanism, a brand isn’t shared any technical detail about e-scooter yet.
Suzuki also said that all its electric two-wheeler will be launched in India by the financial year 2030 including 4 e-scooter and 4 e-motorcycle and Suzuki will be 75% of ICE vehicles and only 25% of BEV.
In terms of design, it will have quite a similar design to its standard model but some changes can be done like less weight, replacement to EV powertrain, large boot space, different ride modes, also replacement to a touchscreen display which includes turn-on-turn navigation, reverse park assist, hill hold and vacation mode like features.
