BMW introduces a new variant of its i4 series eDrive35 starting under $53,000, with Gen 3 powertrain technology, with a small battery pack of 70.2kwh, it also supports DC fast charging.

BMW unveiled the 3rd variant of its i4 series eDrive35 which comes at the most affordable price range, you can buy it for a few thousand of dollars, it is a fully electric sedan that sits below its sibling eDrive40.

BMW(Bayerische Motoren Werke AG) German luxury marque finally introduces its new variant of i4 eDrive35 which is dedicatedly based on pure BEV architecture, it comes with Gen 3 powertrain technology, this also found in its i4 eDrive40 & i4 M50 trim, it has a small battery pack of 71.2KWh which is comparable to be less its sibling i4 eDrive 40(83.9kwh battery pack), it requires 32 minutes to get a charge from 10% to 80% with its standard charger, with DC fast charging will cover 160 km in 10minutes as per the BMW claimed.
eDrive35 has single electric synchronous motors that will be able to produce an expected output of 281Hp of Horsepower with a peak torque of 295 lb-ft to rear wheels. Also, it has an estimated acceleration time of 0-60mph in just 5-8 seconds.
The company offers standard 18-inch Aero wheels in eDrive35 and is also expected to deliver an EPA range of around 260 miles as per the BMW’s AG tests.

Come to the interior, eDrive35 has BMW curved display, with 14.9 inches of control panel or infotainment system which support operating systems 8, 12.3 inches of an instrumental cluster.
BMW announced that the production of i4 eDrive35 will be started in the fourth quarter of 2022 at BMW Group Plant Munich, it is also expecting to deliver its first variant in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2023, with its base variant starting at a price range of $51,000 plus $995 for destination & handling($51,000+%995). afterward, 3rd variant will available in the international market very soon.
