Delhi government set EV cell with the aim to boost policy on fast track.

The Delhi government is more focused on EV cells to accelerate the implementation of the Delhi electric vehicle policy, 2020.

In New Delhi, the capital of India, the government has aimed to set up dedicated electric vehicles cell to boost up adoption of EVs.

The Aam, Aadmi party government has planning to set up electric vehicles cell to accelerate the implementation of EV policy.

The cell function under the Delhi transport infrastructure Development corporation (DTIDC), announces government as an agency of transport department it mainly handles the city interstate bus terminals and bus shelters or to fulfill requirements of the infrastructure need of transport department.

“Delhi government will soon set up a dedicated EV cell to speed up adoption of electric vehicles. The Arvind Kejriwal government has invited applications for the appointment of a chief executive officer and a team to do the job.”

The government has invited applications for the recruitment of CEO for the cell beside two deputy directors and two young professionals on a contract basis for two years.

The Delhi government has aimed to help and accelerate the implementation of Delhi EV policy, 2020 through mechanisms like facility disbursement of demand in conversion segment and charging station through transport and quick platform.

In budget 2020, the Delhi government has planned to purchase electric vehicles, set up more than 100 Electric stations, and collaborate with renewable power providers to accelerate EV adoption.
