Raj Kumar Singh, power ministry of India, said on Saturday, Electric vehicle charging stations Expand by 2.5 times in 9 cities including Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai in the last 4 months.
on the report of the government, the electric charging station is increased up to 2.5times in Surat, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai in the last four months.

Power minster statement, over 678 electric charging station has been installed between 2021 October and 2022 January in 9 cities publicly.
Raj Kumar Singh also issued the revised consolidated guidelines and standard for electric charging structure on 14 January 2022.
Government has a plan to increase electric vehicles in these 9 cities first, due to a population of 4 million. after that, they will expand their electric vehicle in other cities.

After the electric vehicle policy launch, many electric maker companies were more focused on their vehicle design and under policy rules.
Let us talk about the companies that have planned to set up charging stations -From Bharat petrol corporate LTD(BPCL) has the plan to set up 7,000 charging stations, 10,000 will be set up by Indian Oil(IOCL) and the remaining 5,000 stations will be set up by Hindustan petroleum corporate LTD(HPCL).
Total Charging Stations Installed in India
According to the report, BPCL has already set up electric 52 charging stations, 439 electric stations from Indian oil (IOCL) and HPCL has set up 382 charging stations in India.
The government also made 360-degree efforts to enhance public charging stations by including both private and public agencies (BEE, NTPC, PGCIL, EESL, etc.), and many private companies also take part to develop a convenient charging network grid to gain customer trust.
According to the department of heavy industry, recently permit 1576 charging stations for 25highways and expressways and every station will be set up within 25km of range on both sides of highways and expressways.
