Live with Musk: Tesla’s CEO Demonstrates Test Drive of Model X Using Latest AI Version 12 of Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta Software

Tesla FSD AI Version 12

Two weeks back, Tesla’s boss Elon Musk said something was coming. Last Friday, he showed it off! He went live on his special platform, Platform X. With someone else riding shotgun, he drove a Tesla for 45 minutes around California. The cool thing? He wasn’t driving – it was Tesla’s fancy software, called FSD, doing the driving. But there was a small issue: at one point, the software didn’t notice a red traffic light. Musk had to take over to stop the car.

At first, they planned this drive to go to Mark Zuckerberg’s house in Palo Alto. Musk even jokingly challenged Zuckerberg to a fight in a cage! But on Friday, they didn’t actually visit, even though they got close to his house. Musk didn’t ring the bell, and apparently, Zuckerberg wasn’t home anyway. Musk kept calling him a “coward” on his platform.

During the ride, Musk talked a lot about what was happening and explained the new FSD software. Right from the beginning, the software handled a construction area really well, even though it hadn’t seen it before. But around 20 minutes later, there was a small problem. At a crossing with a green light to turn left, the software thought it was okay to go straight. Musk had to take control and said, “Oops, sorry!” It was the only time he had to do that during the whole drive.

Musk showed how the software managed other crossings with traffic lights and smoothly changed lanes with other cars around. He said the software doesn’t need the usual traffic light code anymore – it uses special smart technology now. When they reached where they wanted to go, the Tesla parked itself at the side of the road. Then they headed back home without any problems.
