New Powerwall: Tesla makes house battery smaller and stronger, solar inverter integrated
Since August, Tesla has been giving discounts on its Powerwall battery installations in various countries, including Germany, where you can save 450 euros. They’re offering this discount because they have a new version called Powerwall 3. Here’s what’s new in it:

🔋 Powerwall 3 Features:
- It’s smaller than the previous version but still holds 13.5 kilowatt-hours of energy.
- Tesla now uses LFP batteries, which makes it slightly heavier.
- It can provide a higher continuous power output of 11.5 kilowatts, better than the old 10-kilowatt peak output.
- Elon Musk says it’s easy to install and can power most homes during emergencies.

☀️ Solar Panel Integration:
- Powerwall 3 has a built-in inverter to connect with solar panels, perfect if you have or plan to have solar panels on your home.
- It comes with six Maximum Power Point Trackers (MPPT) for efficient energy management, with a high 97.5% efficiency rating.
- Unlike before, you don’t need a separate inverter for your solar panels; it’s all in one.
📅 Availability and Cost:
- You can’t order the Powerwall 3 in the USA yet; it’ll be available for orders in 2024.
- The current discount doesn’t apply to Powerwall 3, and Tesla hasn’t revealed its price.
- If you need a home battery now, you can still get Powerwall 2 or Powerwall+.
So, if you’re thinking of upgrading your home’s energy storage and plan to use solar panels, Powerwall 3 is a great option, but you’ll need to wait until 2024 to order it. 🏡🔋🌞
