Olectra launches heavy-duty 6×4 electric truck trials, the firm said in a statement.
on Friday, April 15, Olectra Greentech Limited(A Group Company of MEIL), India’s first largest pure electric Bus manufacturer, has begun 6×4 heavy-duty electric tripper trials as part of its initiative to enter the electric trucks segment.
Olectra which is a pioneer and India’s first-ever market leader in electric bus manufacturing now entered into electric truck manufacturing, this prototype is built on a heavy-duty 6×4 tripper platform as per the Olctra report.
Olectra tripper, the first of its kind truck in India comes with 220km of range on a single charge.
Olectra aim is to build a heavy-duty bogie suspension tripper capable of managing gradability of more than 25%.
Olectra as part of industrial conglomerate MEIL has officially launched its 6×4 heavy electric tripper trial in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the Occasion, KV Pradeep, chairman, and managing director said, “Being a pioneer in electric mobility in India, Olectra has now begun heavy-duty tipper trials. This is the first of its kind truck in India. This breakthrough gives us immense pleasure and a moment of pride.”
He also said in a firm, “As the fossil fuel costs are skyrocketing, the electric trucks will be a game-changer in the segment. This first-of-its-kind tipper has many super performance features. As the market is looking for cost-effective and highly efficient tippers, the Olectra has finally realized the dream as promised earlier,”
The brand also said that the manufacturing of electric trippers will be scaled up to the state-of-the-art facility coming up on the outskirts of Hyderabad soon.
