On August 8, Tesla reveals that it is lobbying the Ontario government as part of its efforts to set up a new “Advanced manufacturing factory in Canada” after several discussions with the Ontario gov., Elon Musk dropped hints about building a new GigaFactory in the country.
Also, Candian company is working with the government to find locations or opportunities for industrial facility permitting reform.
As we know that June, musk also dropped hints that Tesla is trying to find a location for its new factory outlet in North America in canada.
Elon Musk also unveiled in the cyber roundup annual meeting with shareholders that our company successfully find a location in Canada for New Gigafactory, He also submitted the document publically for its new factory outlet.
Highlights of Annual meeting, Musk also asked the crowd, “Where should build it “, a bunch of responses come, and he said that “We got a lot of Canada. I am half Canadian, maybe I should”.
Engage with the government and its agencies to identify opportunities for industrial and/or advanced manufacturing facility permitting reforms with the intent to increase the competitiveness of Ontario and its ability to attract capital investment through establishing approvals timeframes that are competitive with high-growth manufacturing locations in North America, while also working with government to identify or align incentives programs that could further increase the attractiveness of Ontario for industrial and/or advanced manufacturing investment.
It also announced that Tesla has to share all lobbying efforts to the government.
In June, Tesla also announced that we are planning to expand Gigafactory Shanghai to produce 21,000 EVs per week.”Tesla will be able to make more than 1 million EVs a year in China, the people said.“
As per the Electric Autonmuy Canda, tesla updates the lobbying register in July 2022.
Tesla also said that we might have to open a new Gigafactory by this year, it will be around 10-12 factories to be open soon. Tesla vehicles will be manufactured from two factories in the United State and one Gigafactory in each china & Germany.
