
Castrol India hosted an EV-readiness Training programme to educate top 100 tier car and bike mechanics, in this program trainees learned EV basic and diagnostic Skills for EV Service and Maintaines in detail, after completing this training trainees have to pass a quiz test to test their knowledge and understanding on EV, and those who complete the certification were get awarded at ASDC SKILL INDIA CONCLAVE which conducted on September 23.

Castrol India also showcases its “Castrol on” range of Advanced e-fluid for improving electric vehicle performance, which was introduced in back 2021, and plans to launch in India soon.
Training Programme conducted in 2 major cities in India
Castrol India, a Lubricant major, has organized upskilling programme for mechanics, like the super mechanic’s contest, to contribute toward green energy.
- Castrol India launched its first EV-readiness training in New Delhi, from 13 to 16 September, where 100 mechanics participate, this program was supported by ASDC(Automobile Skil Development Council).
- The second was organized in Chennai where also 100-tier bike and car mechanics participated.
ASDC Certification For EV-Skilled mechanics
This ASDC Certification is an 8-hour module (section) for car and Bike mechanics or trainees, in this course trainees will learn the EV basic and acquire diagnostic mastery for EV service and maintenance, after completing this course trainees to attempt a quiz test to check their Knowledge and understanding on EVs, trainees also get awarded at ASDC SKILL INDIA CONCLAVE which conducted on September 23 in New Delhi, Castrol India gets great response from trainees, Castrol India plans to roll out EV- Readiness Training program to other cities in India.
Why this training is necessary for mechanics?
As you know EV trend is an increase day by day in India and every company and EV startup trying to launch its EV prototype in the market, but nobody tells about the service, problems, and maintenance of EVs, but this is a very serious problem in India so, to overcome this problem, Castrol India start initiated to educate mechanics or trainees about the EV technology in detail this will help many mechanics to understand the real electric vehicle technology used in an upcoming vehicle or to short out the problem occur in the EVs.
