Volkswagen Group Unveils a new electric drive system at Tech Day 2023, this electric drive system includes Batteries, electric motors, a pulse inverter, and a thermal management system, which will increase up to 20% efficiency via an optimal combination of individual components.
Oliver Blume, Chair of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Group,
“The Volkswagen Group and its brands stand for first-class products and technologies. Thanks to the size and breadth of the Group, as well as our in-house expertise, we can leverage enormous economies of scale. This benefits our customers and makes our vehicles even better.”
How is Pulse Inverter helpful for EVs?
As per the press release, the first Pulse inverter “designed by VW”, the engineer has redesigned its core components from scratch including hardware and software, it also confirms by Vw that the entire range of entry-level engines to sports cars with 500KW can be expanded in future.
This is basically designed to provide efficiency and cost benefits for VW, it expects that this will increase up to 20% efficiency through a Thermal Optimal combination of Individual components.
VW said our main focus is on scalability and seeks to capitalize on economies of scale to reduce costs.
VW is taking steps to become the leader in the electric vehicles segment, few days later VW also dropped hints of its electric Car ID.7 full electric.
“Our goal is to achieve technological leadership, also in electric mobility. That’s why here, too, we rely on our internal competencies.”
Thomas Schmall:
Vw also working on a Thermal Management solution
Volkswagen is working on entirely new solutions. While today a large number of individual modules and long hose connections are used, in the future these will be replaced with an extremely compact, integrated thermal module. This will control the entire air conditioning, including the high-voltage battery, and thus will have a major impact on the vehicle’s range and fast-charging capability. The new all-in-one module is also significantly lighter, more robust, and more efficient than current systems.
VW Plan to launch new EV: Know Who?
VW(Volkswagen) german carmaker has announced to launch of an electric car which will be revealed at CES(Consumer Electronics Show) In 2023, on 3 January, and only 7 days remain since launching.
This will be the third electric car from VW but VW doesn’t share any photos, or clips of its electric car, as per past data, Volkswagen teased two new electric vehicles ID.AERO and ID.8, where its suffix “AERO” indicates a large sedan and “8” highlights a large SUV.
In June 2022 VW group share an image of its electric sedan ID.AERO concept, also announced that will roll out its production version in Europe, the U.S., and China in 2023 but VW is not talking about its ID.8 model for some time, and no detail were shared till now.
